Summer is in full swing here in the Pacific Northwest, and that means it’s time to break out the picnic blankets, pack some snacks, and get ready for one of our favorite traditions—4th of July fireworks!
Whether you’re looking for a big-city celebration or a laid-back local event, I’ve rounded up the best fireworks shows across the Puget Sound for 2026. These are perfect for families, couples, and anyone who loves a good sparkle in the sky.
📍 Gas Works Park, Lake Union (+ Lake Union Park, south shore)
The biggest 4th of July show in the PNW. Fireworks choreographed to live music over Lake Union — it’s spectacular. Important change for 2026: a free ticket is required to enter Gas Works Park, so register in advance at seafair.org. The show is also visible from South Lake Union and the Fremont waterfront if you miss the ticket window.
📍 Bellevue Downtown Park
The Eastside’s largest 4th of July celebration, and it’s been running for over 30 years. The symphony-synchronized fireworks make this one feel genuinely elevated. Great option if you want to stay local and skip the Seattle traffic entirely.
This is one of my personal favorites to recommend — Newcastle does it right. A true community feel, a beautiful lake setting, and you beat the July 4th crowds entirely. Go on Thursday and have your weekend free.
📍 Downtown Issaquah, Front Street
Issaquah has expanded to a full three-day affair this year to honor America’s 250th. The kids & pets parade on Front Street is always a crowd-pleaser, and watching fireworks over Lake Sammamish never gets old.
📍 Lake Meridian Park, Kent
One of the more organized South King County options. The free shuttle means you don’t have to stress about parking, and Lake Meridian is a beautiful setting for an evening show.
📍 Log Boom Park, 6100 NE 175th St, Kenmore
📍 Snoqualmie Community Park
Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy live music and food trucks before the sky lights up against the gorgeous Cascade backdrop. A beloved Snoqualmie Valley tradition that’s grown every year.
📍 Dune Peninsula & Cummings Park, Ruston Way
Full-day adventure with waterfront views, vendors, and all the summer vibes — and fireworks with Mt. Rainier behind them is one of those only-in-the-PNW moments. Great for families who want an all-day outing.
Here’s a quick-reference list of additional shows worth knowing about:
A growing number of local cities have switched from traditional fireworks to drone light shows — driven by wildfire risk and wildlife protection. If you haven’t seen one yet, they’re genuinely impressive.
There is genuinely nothing like a summer evening in the Pacific Northwest — and the 4th of July here is something special. Whether you’re watching from a blanket at Lake Boren, catching the show over Lake Union, or bringing the kids to the Bellevue Family 4th, I hope you have an incredible celebration.
f you’re thinking about what it looks like to actually live in one of these communities — the kind of place where summer means Concerts on the Green on Tuesday, fireworks on the 4th, and River Days at the end of the month — I’d love to chat. That’s the kind of neighborhood life I help people find every day.
