The Best Pumpkin Patches

in Your Pacific NW

Fall is my favorite time of year, and one of the best parts is visiting pumpkin patches Puget Sound families love. 🍂 Even though my daughter is grown now, I still drag her along to pick out pumpkins, pose for photos, and, of course, snack on kettle corn. There’s just something about crisp air, fresh cider, and fields full of pumpkins that makes this season so special.

Whether you’re like me and love keeping up the tradition, or you’re just looking for a fun weekend outing, the Puget Sound area has plenty of pumpkin patches to explore. I’ve divided them up by county so you can easily find one near you—with details on activities, dog-friendliness, and whether reservations are needed.

What to Bring and How to Dress for a Day at the Pumpkin Patch

Here’s what to wear and bring to make the most of your visit to pumpkin patches Puget Sound families love:

Dress for the weather:

  • As my mom always said: “Layers, layers, layers — it’s the PNW!” Fall weather can be unpredictable, so bring a jacket and hat for chilly mornings.
  • Waterproof boots or sturdy shoes with good grip are a must — pumpkin patches can get muddy fast.

What to bring:

  • A reusable tote or wagon for hauling pumpkins (farms often provide wagons, but they go quickly on busy weekends).
  • Snacks and water, especially for kids. Some farms sell food, but lines can be long.
  • For pups: water, a leash, and waste bags.
  • A blanket or towel for the car — perfect for muddy boots and dusty pumpkins on the ride home.

Enjoy your pumpkin patch adventure, and don’t forget to take plenty of photos to capture your perfect fall day in the Puget Sound. 🍂 If you visit one of these farms, tag me — I’d love to see your pumpkin patch traditions!
